Models play an essential role in helping artists develop their observational and drawing skills. If you are interesting in modeling for our group, we'd love to hear from you! While prior experience is appreciated, it is not required. We welcome people of all backgrounds who are comfortable posing in the nude and are interested in supporting the arts. We value diversity and welcome applicants of all ages(18+), genders, and body types.

Application
Models are expected to pose in the nude. Clothed or partial nudity may be acceptable with prior approval or under special circumstances. Models should be physically able to hold a pose for up to 25 minutes at a time throughout the duration of the session. Sessions last from 2–3 hours depending on the event.
In order to apply, please message me with the following details:
- Name/pseudonym
- Age
- City of residence
- Prior art modeling experience (if any)
- Parallel skills or related interests (performer, yoga practitioner, dancer, etc.)
- Anything else about you that you care to share
If you have prior life modeling experience, please also provide one of the following:
- A portfolio of artwork samples of which you are the subject
- The contact details of a professional character reference
- A referral from an artist, professor, or studio you have worked with
- A referral from a model you have trained with

Contact me to schedule a time to meet prior to booking. I will not schedule models that I haven't met unless you can provide proof of experience. We may be able to schedule a time for you to observe a portion of one of our events, otherwise we can determine another time to meet and go over the details. If you would like some guidance on how to model, we are happy to walk you through the process.

Modeling Details
Posing
Sequence
Pose duration increases incrementally through the session from 90 seconds to about 25 minutes. There is a 15 minute break scheduled at the top of each hour, otherwise the model may take breaks as needed. A typical pose sequence for a three hour session will look something like:
- (8) 90 sec gestures
- (3) 5 min
- (2) 10 min
- (1) 15 min
- — 15 min break —
- (2) 20-25 min
- — 15 min break —
- (1) pose with remainder of time, typically about 30 min
Timing
The facilitator will provide a timer and announce the sequence changes. Models are welcome to time themselves if they prefer.
Instruction
The facilitator typically does not provide directions between poses, so come prepared with poses in mind. If you are new to modeling, the facilitator will be happy to give you some guidance before the session or during breaks. If you will need direction on any of your poses, inform the facilitator and they'll be happy to work with you.
Posture
You are welcome to be creative with your poses or stick to the classics. The artists will find something interesting to draw regardless, so feel free to be yourself and lean into your strengths and personality.
You should have a good sense of what types of poses you can maintain at each of the various time increments. Short poses tend to be more dynamic and long poses can be seated or reclined. The group appreciates variety, so avoid repeating similar poses on the longer time increments. Props such as staffs and pedestals may be used for support to help maintain dynamic postures and extended limbs.
Other Details
Accommodations
The facilitator will supply towels, pillows, and a heater. We do not supply coverings for between poses, so please bring your own. Robes work well as an additional surface for seated or reclining poses. Slippers can be nice to bring along as well since the studio floors can be messy. Some facilities have dedicated changing rooms, but when they don't you may use the nearest bathroom as a changing room.
Punctuality
Models are expected to check in with the facilitator no less than 5 minutes before the start of the event. If you have not modeled for us before, plan to check in with the facilitator 15 minutes before the start of the event. You should be at the model stand and ready to disrobe by the scheduled start time.
Compensation
Compensation varies by event. At a minimum you can expect $20 per hour.
Hair, Tattoos, & Piercings
Nobody will mind if you have body hair, tattoos, or piercings, so come as you are. If you have long hair, we may request that you put it up so you are not obscuring your neck and shoulders.
Costumes & Props
If you wish to incorporate props, drapery, jewelry, makeup, etc. into your poses, you are encouraged to do so. Costumes are welcome as well, but coordinate with the facilitator first. We do not typically provide props, so you are welcome to bring your own or select from any that may be available at the facilities.
Chaperones
Models are welcome to bring a friend to sit in on the event or draw along with the group.
