Apply to Model
If you are interested in modeling for our life drawing events, please contact trevor@trevoreagleman.com to apply. Compensation varies by event.
Application Requirements
If you have prior life modeling experience, please provide at least one of the following:
- A referral from an artist or studio you have worked with
- A referral from a model you have trained with
- The contact details of a professional character reference
- A portfolio of artwork samples of which you are the subject
If you do not have prior modeling experience, indicate if you have any parallel skills or work experience such as being a performer, yoga practitioner, trained dancer, etc.
If you can't provide a character reference, referral, or portfolio, I request that you attend one of our events prior to modeling so we can meet and you can learn the process. Contact me to schedule a event to attend. I will not schedule models that I haven't met without a suitable character reference, referral, or portfolio.
Please confirm that you meet the physical requirements detailed below and that you are of legal age. It is also helpful to include any other relevant qualifications or special interests related to art or modeling.
Models of all body types and genders are encouraged to apply.
Requirements & Expectations
Physical Requirements
Models are expected to pose in the nude. Clothed or partial nudity may be acceptable with prior approval. Models should be physically able to hold a pose for up to 25 minutes at a time throughout the duration of the session. Sessions last from 2–3 hours depending on the event.
Pose duration increases incrementally through the session from 90 seconds to about 25 minutes. There is a 15 minute break scheduled at the top of each hour, otherwise the model may take breaks as needed.
Posing Instruction
The facilitator typically does not provide directions between poses, so come prepared with poses in mind. Models should have a good sense of what types of poses they'll be able to maintain at each of the various time increments. Short poses tend to be more dynamic and long poses can be seated or reclined. Props such as staffs may be used for support, especially on longer poses. If you will need direction on any of you poses, inform the facilitator and they'll be happy to work with you.
Timing
The facilitator will provide a timer, but models are welcome to time themselves if they prefer.
Accommodations
The facilitator will supply towels, pillows, and a heater. We do not supply coverings for between poses, so please bring your own. Slippers can be nice to bring along as well since the studio floors can be messy. We use the facility restroom as the changeroom.
Costumes & Props
If you wish to incorporate props into your poses, you are encouraged to do so. We do not typically provide props, so you are welcome to bring your own or select from any that may be available at the facilities.
Drapery, costumes, and other apparel are welcome, but please coordinate with the facilitator before the event to confirm that you will be doing so.
